![]() JEFFERSON (21) I AM A TRAVELER AND ADVENTURER SEEKING COMPANY IN THIS NEW LAND. TELL ME A STORY AND I WILL TELL YOU ABOUT ONE OF THE WORLDS I'VE VISITED. |
OLD CUDDLR PROFILE (1/28/2017 - 5/1/2017):
I've traveled to many lands, some of which you may have read about in storybooks. A fun fact: Dormice make for terrible tea party guests.
No cuddling on the first date.
OLD CUDDLR PROFILE (9/21/2016 - 1/28/2017):
Single father who hasn't been on a date in more time than I care to admit. Let's start with getting to know each other over tea.
(Please stop calling me a 'DILF'. I'm not sure what that means, and I don't want to know.)

uhhh i think round 1,000? give or take a few centuries? i know i'm not near 2,000 because i was born after 'the great war'. so many of those centuries blur 2gether
lol where i'm from a helpful fairy is a very suspicious thing, they r notoriously tricky, just like pixies. yeah a lot of ppl havent heard of mesmers, where i'm from i'm the last of my kind, and nobody else here in eudio has heard of em on their worlds either
guess that makes me a special snowflake i suppose
no subject
[ Because at least then he wouldn't have been driven mad. But no, Jefferson's being a buzzkill. ONTO MORE FAE TALK. ]
Around 1,000? No wonder you've lost count. Is that long-lived for fae?
It must be lonely. I can relate. Sort of.
no subject
naaaah, not even middle-aged. i guess humans would associate it with mid to late 30s?
well, i dunno if i'd say lonely. i always have people 2 spend time with. but u can relate, eh?
no subject
In a way. It sort of goes with the whole 'curse' thing.
[ After sending that response, he sort of stares at the screen for a bit, then decides to go out on a limb and actually try to jump back into this whole socializing thing, despite how strange it feels. ]
But enough about curses and snowflakes. I don't know about you, but I could do with a drink.
no subject
i always want a drink, darling. i GM at a nightclub called pandemonium, but if loud music and strobes arent ur thing, there's plenty of quieter places
1st round's on me
no subject
Then I'll be sure to get the 2nd.
no subject
ooh! i like u already ;-)
(ooc: Want me to action this up, or FTB? :D )

[ Writing out these smilies still feels weird and awkward, BUT WHATEVER, TEXTING AS A WHOLE IS A BIT OF A WEIRD MODE OF COMMUNICATION TO HIM. He's not used to it. ]
Just let me know the time and the place, and I'll be there.
(OOC: Action!)
action!
[ There was a 'hipster' district of Eudio, where people like him tended to stick out. He might have been the 'thing' in the 1970s britpunk scene, but that was too mainstream now, as was the designer brand makeup he wore.
The bars were small and uncrowded, as being packed would mean the place was instantly out-of-style, sometimes that pretentious shite worked to his advantage. He'd shot the cutie the location, then went ahead and sprawled out on a booth. And by sprawl, we mean legs up on the seat, one arm behind his head, the other on the table and holding his pint, eyes closed as he waited. ]
no subject
This is one of his first chances, really. And once he approaches the booths towards the back of the bar, he spots Vex fairly quickly. And the way he's dressed sort of reminds Jefferson of better days-- there are elements of styles he favored, or that he'd at least seen in other worlds he'd visited. Not like Storybrooke, where everyone was so drably down-to-earth. For his part, Jefferson probably appears overdressed, though really, the dress shirt, the waistcoat, the scarf, it's all everyday wear for him. He starts to shrug off his coat, offering a smile, though there's a hint of apprehension in it. Charm's easy enough to turn on when he's got an ulterior motive, but as he doesn't have one right now, he's just a bit... uneasy, being out in public. ]
You weren't waiting long, I hope.

[ Vex went from lazy to perky instantaneously. He sat up, swiveled smoothly in his seat to face the other man, and offered him a wicked-looking crooked smile and a salacious wink. Everything about him matched that working-class London accent of his, untamed and unpolished. Yet very fashionable! So, naturally, his dark eyes went down to rake over Jefferson's choice of threads with a low whistle. ]
Nice. Bit warm for autumn, yeah? Still, I like it. Got a tailor?
[ He waved at the bartender to bring them another pint for Jefferson, which was set in front of him shortly. ]
no subject
Perhaps, but I always run a little cold. [ And he shakes his head. ] No tailor. I do any alterations myself.
[ As the bartender sets a pint down in front of him, Jefferson eyes Vex, taking his appearance in with both approval and appreciation. ]
Not a lot of people were all that stylish back in Storybrooke. Where I'm... [ Not from, really. ] Where I'd been living. Your look is refreshing.
no subject
Like it? Enjoy the view, love. You can stare all you want. [ He practically blossomed under attention. ] I've never heard of Storybrooke, what is that, a city? Sounds like something out of a kid's book.
no subject
[ Still smiling, he takes a sip of his drink. But when Vex asks about Storybrooke, that's when Jefferson's usual gloom falls over him again. ] It's a town in Maine. [ There's an agitated twitch in his fingers, and he drums them on the table sharply. ] Where I've been trapped. Where everyone's been trapped.
[ Jefferson, you're never going to get any cuddling if you keep going from friendly to gloomy in the span of ten seconds. ]
no subject
Maine? What, in the States? Bugger me. So the higher-ups here were able to pull you out of that, eh? So what are you lot then? Sex slaves to some power-crazed lobster fae?
[ How can anybody be gloomy when Vex comes up with crazy shit like that? ]
no subject
God. No, I don't even want to think about servicing her like--
[ He laughs again, shaking his head. Though, truth be told, Regina's a beautiful woman. Rotten to her core, but beautiful. It's really just his hatred of her that makes the thought so unpleasant. ]
Nothing quite so exciting as that. She just made everyone... boring. Mundane. Human. No more magic, no more happy endings. Everyone living the same day, over and over again, nothing changing. Except for-- [ He gestures to himself, then takes another drink. ]
I'd prefer a lobster fae to the evil queen.
no subject
I mean, sure, Eudio's not the most exciting place, but at least there's magic. And definitely happy endings. [ He gave a wink before making a brief 'jerk off' motion with his hand. You know, that sort of happy ending. ]
What were you then? Before you were human.
no subject
He takes a long drink, then fixes Vex with another intrigued look. ]
But what about you? What sets mesmers apart from other fae?
no subject
[ Because 'lobster fae' and 'evil queen' apparently got combined into 'Queen Lob'. ]
Well, I'm the last of my kind which sets me apart right there. A mesmer has the power to control your body. It doesn't work the same way here in Eudio, since they're all about 'consent' and all that shite. If you give me permission, I show you. I promise, it doesn't hurt. Unless you want it to. [ Wink. ]
no subject
Still, it's an intriguing thought. ]
I've never met anyone who could do that. [ Not even Rumplestiltskin, he's sure. ] Do people know, when you use your magic? Or do you control the mind, too?
no subject
[ He didn't know why he bothered to say 'us', since he's been the only one in... forever. ]
And that depends on the situation, really. Mesmer doesn't affect your mind, but y'know how your mind can play tricks on you? Make you doubt yourself?
So imagine you're driving along, then suddenly you veer off the road. You'd probably be stunned, right? Wondering what happened? Your first thought wouldn't be 'oh, clearly someone controlled me', yeah? You'd think you made a mistake. You can't feel the power, there's no drain, no sign, no evidence.
Scary, yeah? Not so much in Eudio, it's all very friendly here.
[ He said with the slightest bit of a sneer, but it was followed by a smirk. ]
It's how I feed, so I gotta play nice or I go hungry.
no subject
That sounds... Scary. Yeah. To say the least. [ And immeasurably useful, he's sure. At least, in a land where consent isn't the top priority. Not that Jefferson has any complaints about that. ]
Oh. So letting you take control is sort of like giving to a good cause. [ Not that that means much to Jefferson. He never was the charitable sort. But still, he has to ask: ] What would you do if I gave you permission to use your powers? [ He takes a drink, and then adds: ] Hypothetically.
no subject
[ He chuckled easily, then his eyebrows bobbed. ] You know what it's great for? Showing people what I like. No guesswork, no fumbling, the exact spots that drive me wild. But if you mean what would I have you do right now? Mm, jack off under the table, probably. I'd love to see your 'O' face in public.
Hypothetically. [ That was added with a devilish look. ]
no subject
And then he widens his eyes briefly before he recovers his wits. ]
Is the 'public' part essential?
[ Nobody else has seen his O face in decades, not even in private. He's got to get used to walking before he can run again! But at least he's amused (and, yeah, intrigued) rather than offended. ]
Maybe one day I'll let you run through that list. You've piqued my curiosity, after all. [ He just needs to get over his fears of having no control, first. Kind of a hurdle. ]
no subject
Mm, I'd love to pique more than just your curiosity, crumpet. But I'll take what I can get. I know not everyone likes to kiss on the first date. [ Wink! Yes, that was about the fourth wink since they've met. It was just the sort of fae he was. ]
